Use the compiler default C++ dialect if it is C++11 or higher and only
explicitly request C++11 if the compiler can't compile a small test
using C++11 features by default.
This prevents from unnecessarily adding -std=c++11 to the compiler flags
under Unix, even with compilers using e.g. C++17 by default.
CMAKE_CURRENT_BINARY_DIR is the same as CMAKE_BINARY_DIR when building
wx directly, but they can be different when including this makefile from
a super-project using add_subdirectory() and it makes more sense to use
the former.
This also fixes wx-config symlink created in such build, as it the link
was broken before because it was created under CMAKE_CURRENT_BINARY_DIR
but pointed to a file in a different CMAKE_BINARY_DIR.
Change the minimum version to 3.0. Version 2.8.12 has never worked,
because it does not support the VERSION parameter in project().
Replace GREATER_EQUAL comparisons, these are only supported since 3.7.
Move PCH related code to a separate file, and include it after
options.cmake and init.cmake. Because only then the wxBUILD_PRECOMP
variable is fully initialized.

Compiling .mm files gives error 'Objective C file was disabled in PCH but is currently enabled'.
Enable the OBJCXX language so the Objective-C++ compiler will be detected and used for .mm files instead of the c++ compiler.
Detect if there are .mm files and enable PCH for them too.
Don't set COTIRE_UNITY_SOURCE_EXCLUDE_EXTENSIONS when cotire is not used.
The minimal sample doesn't have an implicit deployment target set, while
the library does through CMakeLists.txt in root. This can result in iOS
link errors when not explicitly setting CMAKE_OSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET as
the sample will then use a target OS with an architecture that may not
be present in the library with its current target OS version.
Fix by copying the part setting CMAKE_OSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET in the
library to the minimal sample as well. Both parts should be kept in sync
but that still seemed preferable to additionally polluting an example
file for CMake usage with a dependency by introducing a common include
file.
Differentiate between the minimal supported version of macOS (10.10)
and iOS (12.0) instead of setting CMAKE_OSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET to
(macOS-only) 10.10 for both platforms.
The Debug configuration is the default, but it is not filled in in cmake-gui.
Do this, and set Debug and Release as available options.

Fix warning: Command line warning D9025 : overriding '/W3' with '/W4'
Remove /W3, either via a regex or via new policy CMP0092 (CMake 3.15).
The policy has to be set before calling project(), otherwise the
CMAKE_<LANG>_FLAGS are already initialized.

incomplete solution.
The apple compiler automatically choses libc++ if the deployment target
is >= 10.9. Lower deployment targets need explicit compiler options
to use libc++.
Add CMake-based build system.
Merge the original branch without any changes except for resolving the
conflict due to moving the contents of .travis.yml to a separate file by
propagating the changes done in this file since then to the new script
and rerunning ./build/update-setup-h and ./build/cmake/update_files.py
to update the file lists changed in the meanwhile.

update_files.py converts build/files into CMake format.
build/update-setup-h has been modified to update build/cmake/setup.h.in.
