The arithmetic operators for wxPoint and wxRealPoint are quite
repetitive and were made by copy-paste from the wxSize operators.
Because of that, some of the names are a bit misleading which this
commit changes. The changes are:
1. replace s/sz with p/pt for point variables (likely 's' comes from
copied code used for wxSize variables)
2. replace 'i' with 'f' for floating point types (likely 'i' comes
from copied code used for integer types)
3. replace 'factor' with 'divisor' for division operations (factors
are the multiplication operands, not division)
Do this for consistency with wxSize which already had this operator/()
overload and operator*() in these classes which was already overloaded
for double.

Closes#24187.
Replace user-specified empty constructors and destructors with the
compiler-generated versions, which has a number of advantages for code
generation, in addition to being more clear.

Having this line is not useful at all as it doesn't contain any
information and shouldn't be filled in the future as git-shortlog can
provide the information about people who changed the given file more
more reliably than consulting the comments in any case.
Keep the non-blank lines for historical purposes.
Stop storing pointers to wxColour in this map when we can just store
wxColour objects themselves.
Also avoid dependency on <unordered_map> in the header by only defining
the map in the source file: as wxColourDatabase already used only a
pointer to the map, rather than the map object, this was easy to do.
This is just a trivial wrapper for wxList, which is itself obsolete, so
deprecate it and schedule for removal in wx 3.6.
Also move it entirely inline and don't export it from the DLL any longer
both because this avoids generating any code for it if it's not used (as
should be the case for 99.99% of wx applications) and because we
currently can't use wxDEPRECATED_MSG() and WXDLLIMPEXP_CORE together in
the same declaration.
Define wxBITMAP() for all non-MSW ports in the same, working, way
instead of using a weird definition which happened to accidentally work
before for wxQt due to implicitly using wxImage ctor from XPN, but
doesn't work any longer since the changes of 5e53f74af1 (Make wxImage
ctor from XPM data explicit, 2021-04-17).
Closes#22908.
This port hasn't been updated for ages and is not used by anybody any
longer, so remove its code to facilitate maintenance.
Also remove references to this port from the documentation and most of
the other places (VMS-specific descrip.vms files still check for it
because it's not clear how to update them all), including configure.
Regenerate the latter and rebake all makefiles.
Finally document that this port is not available any longer.
Unlike the existing wxHAS_IMAGES_IN_RESOURCES constant defined only
under MSW, the new one is also defined under Mac and could be defined
for the other platforms/ports later (e.g. wxQt could probably support it
too).
It's unfortunate that two very similar constants are needed, but it
doesn't seem wise to change the meaning of the existing constant, as
this would change how the commonly used wxICON() and wxBITMAP() macros
behave and would break all our own samples that use them for their frame
icon but don't embed this icon into the bundle resources under Mac.
Do change the toolbar sample to use the new constant however, as this
one does include the bitmaps it uses in its bundle under Mac.
Apply the utility from https://github.com/codespell-project/codespell/
to fix spelling issues in the headers under both include and interface
directories and add a file with a couple of exceptions.
The exact command line used was:
$ codespell -w -I misc/scripts/codespell.ignore -i 3 in*
While this is not done for all the ports yet, the new API allows
returning different PPI values for different monitors, unlike the old
(and still existing, but implemented in terms of the new one) global
function.
It seems to make more sense to round the result to int rather than to
truncate it when scaling wxSize or wxPoint coordinates by a floating
point number.
wxRealPoint uses double coordinates and it makes no sense to truncate
the result of scaling it to int -- this was almost certainly a
copy-and-paste error due to copying the code of the corresponding
wxPoint method.
There doesn't seem to be any reason to use float here when double is
used everywhere else.
Moreover, the (implicit) conversion of int to float is not always
lossless, and resulted in -Wconversion warnings from g++ 7, which
disappear when using doubles.
This merges in the latest sources from GSoC 2014 wxQt project with just a few
minor corrections, mostly undoing wrong changes to common files in that branch
(results of a previous bad merge?) and getting rid of whitespace-only changes.
Also remove debug logging from wxGrid.

Get rid of the rest of __WXCOCOA__ tests in the sources.
Drop configure option for using it.
Also remove the documentation for this port.
This should have also been part of r76735.

This port is not used and is not being worked on, so remove it to reduce the
amount of the code which needs to be updated for every global change.
Also remove tests for VisualAge compiler which isn't used since ages.

This keyword is not expanded by Git which means it's not replaced with the
correct revision value in the releases made using git-based scripts and it's
confusing to have lines with unexpanded "$Id$" in the released files. As
expanding them with Git is not that simple (it could be done with git archive
and export-subst attribute) and there are not many benefits in having them in
the first place, just remove all these lines.
If nothing else, this will make an eventual transition to Git simpler.

Just as wxBITMAP() provides a portable way of loading bitmaps from either
Windows BMP resources or embedded XPM data depending on the platform,
wxBITMAP_PNG() hides the difference between loading bitmaps from PNG resources
under Windows and embedded PNG data elsewhere.
Also add wxBITMAP_PNG_FROM_DATA() macro which always loads PNG data from
memory: it's needed anyhow as part of wxBITMAP_PNG() implementation and some
people may prefer to always use it under all platforms.
Finally modify the image sample to demonstrate loading PNG images from both
resources and memory. This involved creation of a new Windows .rc file for it
and copying its data files to Resources bundle directory under OS X.

This is similar to DecTo() but can be used even if the wxSize argument has
some components set to -1.
Notice that we don't need IncToIfSpecified() because IncTo() already works
correctly anyhow in this case.

Use wxBITMAP_TYPE_{BMP,CUR,ICON}_RESOURCE by default under Windows, even for
non-wxMSW ports.
Also allow loading wxImage from resources in all ports under MSW as a side
effect of this change.

Add a special symbol which is defined only if the icons and other images (e.g.
cursor) are in the separate resource files and don't need to be embedded as
XPMs in the main program.
This makes the checks more clear and more customizable as it's enough to
change wxHAS_IMAGES_IN_RESOURCES definition instead of changing many platform
checks.

Having wxBITMAP_TYPE_TIFF and wxBITMAP_TYPE_TIFF_RESOURCE is more consistent with already using the complete short name of an image format elsewhere (e.g. wxBITMAP_TYPE_JPEG, not wxBTMAP_TYPE_JPG, and wxTIFFHandler as opposed to wxTIFHandler). Renamed all existing occurrences and kept the old enum values for backwards compatibility.
Also renamed occurrences of wxBITMAP_TYPE_RESOURCE to the already existing wxBITMAP_TYPE_BMP_RESOURCE.

Previously, wxUSE_STL enabled both implicit conversion of wxString to
std::[w]string and use of standard containers for the implementation of their
wx equivalents. Split up the two roles now by allowing to enable the use of
the standard containers independently of (backwards incompatible) implicit
conversion in wxString and actually enable wxUSE_STD_CONTAINERS by default.

It seems to make at least as much sense to extend a wxSize by wxPoint than by
another wxSize (which doesn't make much size to me...) so add Inc/DecBy()
overloads doing this.
We might also add operator+=() overloads taking wxPoint for consistency but
for now don't add more operator overloads unnecessarily, let's wait if anybody
asks about this first.

Standardize on using sample.rc and sample icon in all the samples, it was
confusing that some of them used it and other didn't, without any apparent
logic.
Remove the now unnecessary icon files, including the dialogs sample icon which
seemed to be corrupted (this closes#11146).
Also replace multiple OS/2 resource files with a single one in the sample
directory. The OS/2 projects/makefiles would need to be updated to use them.
Remove dialogs sample icon.
