This port hasn't been updated for ages and is not used by anybody any
longer, so remove its code to facilitate maintenance.
Also remove references to this port from the documentation and most of
the other places (VMS-specific descrip.vms files still check for it
because it's not clear how to update them all), including configure.
Regenerate the latter and rebake all makefiles.
Finally document that this port is not available any longer.
This allows to add application-specific directories to the file dialog.
This commit only contains the implementation for wxMSW and a change
showing the new function in the sample.
Calling TransferDataFromCustomControls() in custom panel destructor
suffered from two fatal flaws:
1. It happened whether the dialog was accepted or cancelled, while
we're only supposed to call this function when it's accepted.
2. It was done too late, when the customization hook itself could
have been already destroyed, as it only has to live until ShowModal()
returns but doesn't have (and typically doesn't) survive wxFileDialog
itself.
Fix this by adding TransferDataFromExtraControl() and calling it
explicitly when, and only if, the dialog is accepted.
This fixes accessing invalid stack memory (thanks ASAN!) under GTK and
Mac and allows to remove the ugly workaround from wxMSW code, which can
now also just call TransferDataFromExtraControl().
When using common dialogs, because IFileDialog-based implementation is
not available either at compile- or run-time, this function needs to be
called while the extra controls still exist, i.e. before ShowModal()
returns, so do it from CDN_FILEOK handler.
Move the code that called it previously into the new MSWOnFileOK() for
consistency with the other callbacks.
Closes#22521.
The hack with creating a dummy dialog just to get the size of the extra
controls is only used in wxMSW, so move it to MSW-specific file from the
common code.
To allow doing this there, add CreateExtraControlWithParent() helper,
which is still not really used anywhere else than in wxMSW, but at least
doesn't do anything particularly ugly and doesn't really penalize the
common code for wxMSW sins.
No real changes.
wxFileDialog::SetCustomizeHook() can be implemented in terms of
IFileDialogCustomize in wxMSW, which means that it can be used with the
new style dialogs shown by IFileDialog, unlike SetExtraControlCreator(),
which could only be supported when using older style common dialogs.
Add support for a few different controls and wxMSW implementation, more
controls, generic implementation and the documentation will be updated
later.
Also update the sample to show the new API in action and allow toggling
between using it and the old API for testing.
GetPaths/GetFilenames() must be used instead when more than one file
could be selected: document this and assert if the wrong functions are
called.
Closes https://github.com/wxWidgets/wxWidgets/pull/1883
Add wxFileDialog::GetCurrentlySelectedFilterIndex() similar to the
existing GetCurrentlySelectedFilename(), which can be used to retrieve
the index of the currently selected filter and update the state of the
extra controls in wxFileDialog accordingly.
Implement this for wxMSW only by updating the internally stored value
from the native CDN_TYPECHANGE notification and also generating a
wxEVT_UPDATE_UI event to allow the extra controls to update themselves.
Closes https://github.com/wxWidgets/wxWidgets/pull/1310
This ensures that GetFilename() and GetFilterIndex() always return consistent
results, even if the path was set programmatically, e.g. during unattended
tests using wxExpectModal<wxFileDialog>.

This merges in the latest sources from GSoC 2014 wxQt project with just a few
minor corrections, mostly undoing wrong changes to common files in that branch
(results of a previous bad merge?) and getting rid of whitespace-only changes.
Also remove debug logging from wxGrid.

This should have been part of r76735: in addition to removing the old Cocoa
port headers, also remove the references to them from the common include
files.

This port is not used and is not being worked on, so remove it to reduce the
amount of the code which needs to be updated for every global change.
Also remove tests for VisualAge compiler which isn't used since ages.

This style tells the dialog to return the paths of the link being selected
without dereferencing it.
Currently only implemented under wxMSW as the links are not dereferenced by
default in wxGTK anyhow. But we may want to change this and implement it there
too for consistency in the future.

This keyword is not expanded by Git which means it's not replaced with the
correct revision value in the releases made using git-based scripts and it's
confusing to have lines with unexpanded "$Id$" in the released files. As
expanding them with Git is not that simple (it could be done with git archive
and export-subst attribute) and there are not many benefits in having them in
the first place, just remove all these lines.
If nothing else, this will make an eventual transition to Git simpler.

Also send wxEVT_UPDATE_UI events for the extra controls in wxFileDialog.
The combination of these changes allows extra controls to update their state
depending on the current selection in the dialog. Show a simple example of
doing it in the dialogs sample.

wxFileDialog::GetPath() didn't return the value set by a previous call to
SetPath() in wxMSW version. Fix this and also implement SetPath() and
SetDirectory() methods in the generic versions in the same way as
SetFilename().
